Early Childhood Educator

Hours:

30 to 40 hours per week

Location:

In person at our daycare center (no remote option)

Education:

College diploma or certificate (1–2 year program in Early Childhood Education or related field)

Environment:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess each child’s development and create individualized learning plans
• Design and implement programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth
• Communicate children’s progress with parents and guardians
• Lead engaging activities like storytelling, songs, and arts & crafts
• Support children with daily routines such as eating, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor for signs of learning or behavioural challenges and report as needed
• Set clear behavior guidelines and foster a respectful environment
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure space for all children

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
• First Aid Certification

Safety & Security:

• Criminal record check
• Medical examination
• Proof of immunization

Work Conditions:

• Physically active: standing, walking, bending, kneeling
• Repetitive tasks and attention to detail required
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
