Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Hours:

30 to 40 hours per week

Location:

In person at our daycare center (no remote option)

About the Job:

We are looking for a caring and energetic Daycare Assistant to join our team. You’ll help support children’s learning and development through fun, hands-on activities and daily routines.

What You’ll Do:

• Help with cleaning and meal prep
• Keep toys and daycare equipment clean and organized
• Support early childhood educators with programs that help children grow physically, mentally, and socially
• Lead fun activities like storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts
• Guide children with eating, dressing, and washroom habits
• Prepare snacks and help set up for lunch and nap time
• Write simple notes about each child’s progress
• Join staff meetings to discuss how children are doing

Who We’re Looking For:

• You speak English
• You’ve finished high school
• You have 1–2 years of experience in a similar role
• You enjoy working with children

Work Environment:

• Childcare centre setting
• You’ll need to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel
• You’ll need to pay close attention to details
